Abstract

The lower confidence bound of mean damage reduction in continuous operative hail suppression activities is estimated.  The investigations are based on historical comparison of crop-hail insurance data.  Several statistical tests, both classic and permutation ones, are applied in parallel, and their suitability under different climatological conditions is compared.  A short overview is given of the insurance systems and hail suppression techniques in the countries in question.
