Report on national cloud-seeding operation 1974-75

The 1974-75 Cloud-Seeding Operation was carried out as an  improved version of the previous year’s programme, which was the  first national cloud-seeding operation to be properly planned in  advance. The rainy season turned out to be another good one, so  that it was not necessary to use the full potential of flying hours  and cartridge stocks. Nevertheless, there were serious rainfall  deficiencies in some areas, notably northern Mashonaland during  the growing season, which therefore derived benefit from a cloud-seeding facility which was a going concern.
